Virtual Psychotherapy for childhood trauma and relational trauma in Ontario

The Road to Self paves the way towards a stronger, softer and more embodied self that values alignment and trusts the journey of becoming. Inadvertently, others are invited to do the same.

I'm Cindy

HELLO

I'm a virtual, trauma-informed Registered Psychotherapist (Q) offering psychotherapy and counselling in Ontario. My focus is on guiding adults (ages 18+) as they heal from unresolved developmental and relational trauma.

I'm committed to integrating your strengths, resilience, and creativity, into your therapy. Together, we'll work to heal relationships—with yourself and with those who matter most to you.

The door is open. Together we can—break cycles, explore your depths, and discover what it means to live a life that feels like your own.

If you've lost touch with your true self, there's hope.

If you find yourself entangled in inherited issues from your parents and tiptoeing around their vulnerabilities by shrinking yourself, there’s hope for healing. If self-judgment has become a habit, it's a cycle you can break.

None of these patterns define the essence of who you are.

Confusion, guilt, and judgment aren't inherent to your being.

You've likely internalized that you ought to restrain yourself out of love, loyalty, and fear rooted in your early relationships. You can heal these wounds by coming home to your body’s wisdom and by reclaiming the parts of yourself that gave up to stay connected to others as a child and to survive our Western Culture.

LIFE, INCLUDING YOURS, NATURALLY GRAVITATES TOWARDS GROWTH & THRIVING.

Common Topics Explored in Therapy

  • “True personal growth is about transcending the part of you that is not okay and needs protection.”

Michael A. Singer - Untethered Soul

  • Disembodiment is not how we come into the world. It can be unlearned, while embodiment, our birthright, can be remembered. So embodiment is a coming home, a remembering of our wholeness, and a reunion with the fullness of ourselves.

― Hillary L. McBride, Wisdom of Your Body

  • Most businesses offer a service that "takes the pain away". This is what is wrong with our society. We are sold solutions that "get rid of pain". We actually need to increase our capacity to feel it safely, to integrate it, and not let it drive our lives.

To embrace this journey.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from many therapeutic modalities and frameworks. This means that I integrate diverse approaches tailored to your unique needs and experiences.

I also strive to remain closely connected and attuned to your emotional experience, your narrative and your unique needs.

Your lived experiences and inner wisdom hold immense value in our work together. This means our collaboration is key in steering your treatment. Your feedback and ideas are openly welcomed as I trust in your innate understanding to guide us toward areas that require nurturing and healing.

Healing is a courageous journey towards self-discovery & growth.

It is about creating a safe inner space to turn towards your experiences without self-judgement.

This journey isn't about rushing change. It is about learning to pace yourself as you turn towards your feelings and increase your tolerance to accept them.

Reducing the pressure to change cultivates inner safety that fosters a deeper self-understanding and the integration of all parts of you.

Only then can genuine change begin to unfold.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself, just as I am, then I can change.”- Carl Rogers
